It seems everyone wants to be Dear Utol (2025): Doctor, Doctor I'm Sick Episode 41Snapchat these days.
Japanese messenger Line, which is immensely popular in Southeast Asia, just announced its next update will include posts that vanish after 24 hours.
SEE ALSO: Facebook tests 'Messenger Day' in another swipe at Snapchat StoriesThe update, which will come first to Android before iOS in the coming days, will allow you to mark a post on your Timeline feed for self-destruction.
That means you can either choose to make a post stay, or disappear after 24 hours, by tapping the clock icon next to "post."
Line's timeline is similar to Facebook's and Instagram's feed. Fellow Asian messenger WeChat also has the same timeline feature, allowing the messengers to do double duty as a social network as well as messaging app.
The 24-hour expiring content concept is commonly associated with Snapchat, after it debuted the feature called Stories back in 2013.
Back then, it was a way to add longevity to the instantly self-destructing posts that users would send to each other, as opposed to the way Facebook, Instagram -- and now Line -- are using it to add a touch of ephemerality to regular posts.
