Glad you've joined us for another day of working out the Wordletogether. Bookmark this page in case you have trouble solving the May 8 Wordle323and would like a few hints or want to know what the answer is.
You may scroll to the bottom of the page for the May 8 answer, but if you want a buddy to help you with some subtler clues and tips, we've got those for you on the way down.
In case you're new here: Wordlewas invented by engineer Josh Wardle as a gift for his puzzle-loving partner and went super-viral in late 2021. His original game was bought by the New York Timesearlier this year in a seven-figure deal.
Is the New York Times making Wordle harder now? Nope, that's your confirmation bias at work. It's the same old Wordle, with some "harder" words given the boot. But you can always switch on Hard Mode, which means you can't make any guesses that don't have previously confirmed letters in them.
Not the Wordle answer you're after? Here are the Wordle answer and hints for May 7.
Working that out definitively requires actual math, and we're not here for math — but fortunately, other people have worked it out for us. There are loads of options.
If you just want moreWordle, all at once, try Dordleand Quordleand the bigger numbers that lie beyond. If you want to capitalize on your nerdy knowledge, try these fandom-inspired versions, or test your ears with the music guessing game Heardle.
One a day not enough? The whole archive of past Wordlesis available to play online.
As we've previously reported, this is down to some changes the New York Timeshas made to Wardle's original word list to remove obscure, offensive, or confusing words.
It's an adjective.
The May 8 Wordlestarts with a 'C.'
