Just when we thought fan petitions had reached their silly limit with one to remake Game of ThronesSeason 8,Tinto brass Black Angel (2002) aka Senso 45 full movie another one has lunged itself upon us.
A Christian group called the American Society for the Defense of Tradition, Family and Property has launched an online petition through their subset Return to Order to cancel Good Omens, the television adaptation of Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett's novel.
Only it was directed towards Netflix and not towards the streaming platform that made it -- Amazon Prime.
The six-part miniseries follows two unlikely friends, angel Aziraphale (Michael Sheen) and demon Crowley (David Tennant), as they attempt to stop the antichrist kid from starting the apocalypse.
According to The Guardian, the group has condemned it for several reasons including the fact that God is voiced by a woman (Frances McDormand), saying the show is "another step to make satanism appear normal, light and acceptable, and this type of video makes light of Truth, Error, Good and Evil, and destroys the barriers of horror that society still has for the devil."
The petition had surpassed its 15,000 signatures goal but it appears to have been taken down altogether from the official page on Return to Order.
Gaiman, who also served as a showrunner on the TV show, addressed this issue on Twitter and seemed pleased at the mistake:

As did the official Good Omens account (@GoodOmensPrime), poking fun at the whole thing with an on-brand joke about Aziraphale and Crowley:

Netflix, a.k.a. the brand MVP of Twitter, chimed in through their UK account (@NetflixUK) and got Gaiman's stamp of approval.

Naturally, Amazon Prime also weighed in and added to Netflix's joke. Love when brands play nice!

A Google search to double check their information would've told the group exactly where to stream Good Omens and who could cancel it.
