Just days after defending Donald Trump,Western Archives Kanye West called out Beyoncé and Jay Z on stage before ending his show early in Sacramento.
West went on a Kanye West-style rant on Saturday evening after showing up to a concert 90 minutes late. Three songs into his performance, West stopped the show and went on a rant where he claims Beyoncé hurt him.
SEE ALSO: Kanye West basically outlined his 2020 presidential platform last night"I am putting my career, my life, my public standing at risk when I talk to y’all like this," West told the crowd. "This is a moment in the matrix, bro, the defiance is back!"
"Beyoncé, I was hurt," West told the crowd, alleging that the singer conspired with MTV to win a Video Music Award. "I heard that you said you wouldn’t perform unless you won Video of the Year over me and ‘Hotline Bling.'"
West is presumably referring to the 2016 VMA Awards where Beyoncé took home Video of the Year for "Formation."
Kanye then shifted, saying, "Don't go trying to diss Beyoncé. She is great. Taylor Swift is great. We are all great people. We are all people. But sometimes we be playing the politics too much and forget who we are just to win.”
While we're no longer surprised by West's rants anymore, this one is a bit strange because he famously defended Beyoncé in 2009 after Taylor Swift took home the award for Best Female Video.
West then continued with a tirade against cool.
"Fuck winning. Fuck looking cool. Fuck looking cool. Fuck being cool. Fuck all that, bruh."
After that, West called out Beyoncé's husband Jay Z for not returning a phone call.
"Jay Z, call me, bruh. You still ain't call me ... Jay Z, I know you got killers, please don't send them at my head, just call me. Talk to me like a man," said West.
West later dropped the mic and declared the show over.
"Get ready to have a field day, press. Get ready. Get ready, cause the show's over," said West who dropped the mic and walked off stage.
