The animated series predicted that the Star Wars franchise would continue. It also knew that at some point in American history, Donald Trump would be president and make a mess of everything.
And now people have pointed out that The Simpsonspredicted what Lady Gaga's Super Bowl halftime performance would be.

While she sang, a swarm of coordinated drones lit up the night sky behind her as their colored lights moved in formation to create an American flag. Then Lady Gaga jumped straight down from the roof for a dramatic entrance.
In an 2012 episode, The Simpsonsdepicted their rendition of a Gaga performance. It featured many of the same elements that happened on Sunday.

Not only did the show have Gaga dropping down from the sky, but it even got her outfit more or less right.
Additionally, others have pointed out that not just snippets but entire portions of Gaga's halftime show came straight out of The Simpsons.

During her halftime performance, Lady Gaga played the piano and had legions of backup dancers recreate the look of "Bad Romance." She also did have a costume change in the middle of the performance.
Hats off to The Simpsonsfor once again understanding our future better than we ever did.
