Just when you thought you could dark eroticismcatch your breath after CES 2025, Samsung is gearing up for a major tech reveal at today's Galaxy Unpacked 2025.
For its first Galaxy Unpacked event of the year, Samsung will unveil a first look at its new flagship mobile devices and a host of new AI features.
Of course, the highlight of the event will be the debut of the Galaxy S25 series. Expect a trio of smartphones: the Galaxy S25, S25+, and S25 Ultra. While the design will likely stay familiar with rounded edges, the biggest upgrades are under the hood.
The S25 Ultra is rumored to get a slight makeover, with a larger 6.9-inch display and an upgraded 50MP ultra-wide camera. Perhaps the most exciting change is what's powering these devices: Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, built for generative AI.

Along with the new hardware, Samsung will likely officially unveil One UI 7 at Galaxy Unpacked. Already in beta, this updated version of Samsung's custom Android interface promises a more intuitive experience, with a tweaked notification system and a host of AI improvements. Samsung is hailing One UI 7 as the "first integrated AI platform," and with the Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, expect to see new AI-powered capabilities that could really set the S25 series apart.
Following the trend of agentic AI, rumors even point to a Samsung "AI agent" that will offer personalized recommendations across a range of categories, from fashion to transportation.

9:12 am ET| January 22, 2025The Galaxy S25 series is poised to bring a massive AI-powered upgrade to its lineup, including the anticipated One UI 7 release that will help boost the upgrade to Galaxy AI.
But a leak reported by Neowin suggests that the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra's S Pen could lose bluetooth functionality. The downgrade means gestures and remote control might no longer work on the device.
This leak has not been confirmed, but we're only a few short hours from knowing for certain.
8:23 am ET| January 22, 2025Samsung is reportedly developing a set of XR glasses in partnership with Google and Qualcomm under the name Project Moohan. The XR glasses are expected to use the Android XR operating system.
While the device is rumored for a 2025 launch, it's not clear if Samsung will have anything ready to show for today's Unpacked event.

While we are just hours away from seeing the official unveiling of the Samsung Galaxy S25 phones, a fresh leak hints at a potential preorder bonus.
If the rumors are true, Samsung will offer double the storage size of phones preordered between Jan. 22 through Feb. 6 for the same price, according to Dealabs.
That would mean you could get a 512GB version of the Samsung Galaxy S25 for the same price as the 256GB version, the site claims.
An important caveat to this is that this leak spoke to EU-specific deals, so it's unclear at this time if the special offer will also include the US market. But we don't have long to wait to find out!
