Hillary Clinton extended a record993 ArchivesPresident Barack Obama got in another parting shot over his eventual successor, Donald Trump, in Gallup's annual "most admired" poll.

Eleanor Roosevelt is a distant second for all-time wins in the "most admired woman" poll with 13.
Finishing second was outgoing First Lady Michelle Obama with eight percent, and she was followed by German Chancellor Angela Merkel and Oprah Winfrey, each with three percent.
A look at previous winners shows Clinton's string of victories deviates from that of the men, which typically seems to go to whoever is president. The Washington Postalso has a fun breakdown of previous winners.

In the "most admired men" category, President Obama received the top billing for the ninth straight year. The poll probably carries an extra sting for Trump, whose pride will surely be wounded by the announcement, as it comes as Trump attacked his predecessor on -- where else? -- Twitter this week.

Obama secured 22 percent of the vote while Trump got 15 percent, clinching the ninth consecutive time Obama has won the poll. While Obama went up by five percentage points in 2016 over 2015, Trump increased his tally by 10 percentage points.
In third place was another Trump nemesis, Pope Francis, with four percent, followed by Bernie Sanders with two percent.
