Last month,Hong Kong Archives 62-year-old Alice Marie Johnson had her life sentence for a non-violent, first time drug offense commuted by Trump.
It's all largely due to the efforts of Kim Kardashian West, who appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Monday to talk about the encounter.

"Did the president know you were just in a robe and nothing else?" Kimmel asked. "Because he probably would've released the whole prison if you told him."
On prison issues, Kardashian West talked about her recent visit to a women's prison, where she "felt bad" when the inmates saw her there. "They were like banging on the windows, like 'Kim's here to get us out!'" she said.
Later in the interview, Kardashian West responded to a question about whether her husband, Kanye West, still has an appreciation for Trump.
"Yeah. I think he really, um, yeah," Kardashian West responded, much to the amusement of the audience. When asked if they talked about politics, Kardashian West said they didn't debate it despite their seemingly different views.
"He doesn't necessarily agree with the policies, he likes his personality ... and how he made it to president when everyone really underestimated him," she said. "He's not really political, so he doesn't really dig deep into what's going on."
Kardashian West added that she had "nothing bad to say about the president," given that he's done "something amazing" in the release of Johnson, and that she remains focused on helping more people be released.
"But you know, I don't agree with everything either. I had no idea what to expect and going in there, I said, 'look I'm going to be focused'," she said.
