That 16-inch MacBook Pro Apple is The Playbirdssupposedly working on? It might drop today.
This is according to Bloomberg, whose source claim the new laptop will replace the 15-inch MacBook Pro line. It will have a higher-resolution 16-inch screen, a more reliable keyboard, and louder speakers.
The price for the 16-inch MacBook Pro will remain roughly in line with the pricing for the current, 15-inch models, meaning $2,399 and up.
Apple's 13-inch MacBook Pro will not be updated this time around, according to the report.
SEE ALSO: Apple's iPhone SE 2 will come in late March, analyst claimsWe've been hearing about the 16-inch Pro for a while now, and the reports were often conflicting. In April, for example, Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo said Apple is working on it, but may not launch it until the first half of 2021.
When he first broke the news of a 16-inch MacBook Pro, Kuo also hinted at an "all-new" design, but there's no word about anything like that in this new report. Still, a 16-inch MacBook Pro would be a big change for Apple's lineup of "pro" laptops. The company had been selling a 17-inch Pro until it was discontinued in 2012, and the lineup consisted of a 13-inch and a 15-inch model since then.
Bloomberg also claims Apple's new Mac Pro, which was meekly announced way back in April 2017, and then properly announced this June, will come in December. Apple had been promising the new Mac Pro will come in 2019; a December launch would mean cutting it really close to the deadline.
