If there's one thing Ant-Man and eros eroticism and the pedagogical processthe Wasp: Quantumaniagives us, it's Kang the Conqueror (Jonathan Majors) — lots and lots of Kang the Conqueror. Quantumania is a veritable Kang fest, from his villainous turn in the main film to the mid-credits scene, featuring countless Kangs. But the Kang party doesn't stop there. We also see a new variant of Kang in the film's end-credit scene — and that ties into Loki Season 2.
The post-credit scene transports us to the early 1900s, where a man named Victor Timely (Majors) unveils a machine to a rapt audience. Among those watching are none other than Loki (Tom Hiddleston) and TVA agent Mobius M. Mobius (Owen Wilson).
Mobius doesn't seem to think that Timely is too dangerous, but Loki is convinced that the man on stage poses a massive threat to the world as we know it. So, who is Victor Timely, and how does he tie into Loki? Let's break it down.
In the Marvel comics, Victor Timely is another version of Kang the Conqueror (also known as Kang Prime). After time traveling (and conquering) throughout the multiverse, Kang settles in Wisconsin in 1901, where he founds the town of Timely.
As Mayor of Timely, Victor proves to be an effective industrialist and develops stunning new technology. Of course, since he's actually Kang, it turns out that the town of Timely's true purpose is to serve as a new base of operations from which he can strike next.
The version of Victor Timely we see in Quantumania is likely some variant of the MCU's Kang, originally a 22nd-century scientist who discovered the multiverse and fought with his own variants for control. Loki and Sylvie (Sophia Di Martino) encountered one such variant in the Loki finale, meaning our favorite anti-hero knows the danger these variants can cause.
The Kang variant that Loki and Sylvie meet is He Who Remains, the founder of the Time Variance Authority (TVA) and keeper of the Sacred Timeline. In a multiversal war, He Who Remains vanquished his variants. And he uses his position at the TVA to make sure they can't do any harm.
However, after Sylvie kills He Who Remains, the Sacred Timeline fractured, spelling out chaos and calamity for the multiverse at the hands of a multitude of Kangs. For example, when Loki returns to the TVA at the end of Season 1, he finds that it is under the control of a different Kang variant.

Based on the Quantumania end-credits scene, he's teamed back up with Mobius to hunt down the greatest threat to the multiverse: other Kang variants.
As Victor is one such variant, Mobius and Loki will most certainly navigating the town of Timely when Season 2 hits Disney+ this summer.
Will these two be able to stop Kang from wreaking more havoc? It seems unlikely. After all, Avengers 5 — coming in 2025 — is literally titled The Kang Dynasty. However, it'll certainly be fun to watch them try.
Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania is now in theaters.
