Chrissy Teigen shared the heartbreaking news on Seinfeld Porn Parodysocial media that she lost her third child she was expecting with husband John Legend.
Since revealing her pregnancy in August (via Legend's "Wild" music video) Teigen has been diligently updating her millions of Twitter and Instagram followers on her journey.
In September, Teigen announced that she was on strict at-home bed rest due to bleeding and complications with her placenta. And on Sunday, as the bleeding intensified, she shared that she was being hospitalized at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center ion Los Angeles.
Teigen further explained her pregnancy complications to followers, and she said that she was receiving additional fluids and a blood transfusion. But on Wednesday night, she posted that the baby had died.
"We are shocked and in the kind of deep pain you only hear about, the kind of pain we've never felt before. We were never able to stop the bleeding and give our baby the fluids he needed, despite bags and bags of blood transfusions. It just wasn't enough," she wrote.

Teigen posted a photo of herself crying in the hospital alongside an emotional statement to Twitter, and she shared four additional photos of her, John, and the baby to Instagram.
"We never decide on our babies' names until the last possible moment after they're born, just before we leave the hospital. But we, for some reason, had started to call this little guy in my belly Jack," Teigen wrote. "So he will always be Jack to us. Jack worked so hard to be a part of our little family, and he will be, forever. . . To our Jack — I'm so sorry that the first few moments of your life were met with so many complications, that we couldn’t give you the home you needed to survive. We will always love you."
Legend also posted to Twitter and wrote, "We love you, Jack."
Teigen ended her post by thanking everyone who has been sending "positive energy, thoughts and prayers" over the course of her pregnancy.
"We are so grateful for the life we have, for our wonderful babies Luna and Miles, for all the amazing things we've been able to experience. But everyday can't be full of sunshine. On this darkest of days, we will grieve, we will cry our eyes out. But we will hug and love each other harder and get through it," she wrote.
Fans and celebrity friends who've been following Teigen's pregnancy updates on social media are mourning alongside her and Legend. It's rare for anyone — let alone someone with a large and impactful platform as Teigen — to share so much of their private life with the world. In wake of this tragedy, many women — some of whom have experienced a miscarriage or stillbirth themselves — are thanking Teigen for sharing her journey.
A miscarriage is when a baby dies in the womb before the 20th week of pregnancy. And stillbirths, which are more rare, occur when a baby dies after the 20th week of pregnancy. About 24,000 babies are stillborn in the United States every year, per the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

It's not uncommon for women who've experienced pregnancy loss at any gestational age to feel alone. Many suffer in silence and feel a deep sense of sadness and shame associated with their experience, so although the news is absolutely gut-wrenching, women are thankful that Chrissy is sharing her story and raising awareness.
