Forget the Old Town Road, update Archives Lil Nas X spent Friday taking his horse to Twitter HQ for a nice change of scenery.
The 20-year-old rapper announced his planned visit to the New York office on Twitter, of course, and also let everyone know that he planned to steal Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey's job while he was there.
"Everyone must nae nae or be at risk for account suspension!" the "Old Town Road" the singer joked in his "CEO for the day" tweet.

While Lil Nas X is beloved by many and still holding down his spot at the top of the Billboard charts, Dorsey and Twitter have come under fire over the years for verification of white supremacists, initial reluctance to ban conspiracy theorists Alex Jones, slow response to take action against "dehumanizing language" aimed at religious groups, refusal to block Donald Trump for tweets that should violate the platform's terms of use, and more.
Actor Seth Rogen, who's spoken out against white supremacists on Twitter before, was one of several people to reply to Lil Nas X's tweet by calling out problematic aspects of the platform.
"Maybe do something about all the white supremacists he verified and therefor amplifies?" Rogen tweeted at the rapper. Rogen has since deleted his tweet.

Though Lil Nas X's visit did get some pushback from Rogen and other fans, there's no denying that the rapper did have some lighthearted fun at the office.
Employees shared photographs and videos of Lil Nas X making a literal panini while "Old Town Road" played in the background, swiping into the office, and enjoying a slice of cake. Lil Nas X also shared a photograph of some on-brand latte art that was there to welcome him.

Some have pointed out that Twitter's stock price has risen since Lil Nas X "took over" as CEO, but others, like Rogen, are simply asking the rapper to use his platform and time in the office to help inspire change on the social media site.

It should be noted that Twitter's Q2 earnings are probablythe reason for the stock increase.

A year ago, in July 2018, a discouraged Rogen tweeted that he had been privately speaking with Dorsey about "his bizarre need to verify white supremacists on his platform" for months and felt that Dorsey didn't "seem to give a fuck."

Since then, the platform has banned several known white supremacists from the site, but Dorsey still has a long way to go in terms of handling harassment and ensuring users feel safe.
