Though this year's inauguration weekend will attract plenty of conflict,The Lord of the G-Strings: The Femaleship of the String some local Washington, D.C., restaurants, bars and coffeeshops want to use the event as an opportunity to give back to the community.
As of Tuesday afternoon, 18 D.C. establishments have agreed to participate in the "All In Service" campaign, and donate a portion of the proceeds raised from Jan. 20 to Jan. 22 to various charities, such as Planned Parenthood and the Human Rights Campaign.
In the midst of such a divided political nation, the participating businesses hope to remind people of the "fundamentals of hospitality."

"That goes against the concept of what we do for a living," Lee explained in regards to a restaurant blackout. "We’re in the hospitality industry."
According to the campaign's website, inauguration weekend presents establishments in the nation's capital -- especially those in the hospitality business -- with the opportunity to "create inclusive spaces in the community."
In addition to the organizations mentioned above, participants will be donating funds to several other charitable services in D.C.'s local community, such as ayuda -- an organization helping immigrants -- and Martha’s Table, Thrive DC and Mary’s Center, which provide health care, education and other assistance to those in need.
Though to some it may seem like an act of rebellion for businesses to donate to organizations such as Planned Parenthood -- which Trump and Pence have vowed to defund -- during inaugural weekend, Sarah Massey, a PR rep working with co-organizers Alaina Dyne and Amanda Carpenter, assured The Washingtonianthe focus of the campaign is community.
"We know that tens of thousands of people are coming into the District for that weekend. There are going to be Trump supporters coming into town, and there are going to be protestors," Massey said.
